Jacquie Ibrahim
Jacquie is an international consultant that works
with private enterprise, universities, the US,
Canadian, and Mexican Governments on the economics
of the Border Region. She travels extensively to
work with stakeholders in the use of pioneering and
world-renowned economics tools to advance the
prosperity of the Border Region. Jacquie is also
Chief Operating Officer of Sunset Coast Capital and
adjunct faculty at several universities including
the executive education departments of Wharton and
UC Berkeley. Jacquie is also the co-founder of
AiPhilanthropy for Positive Change, a nonprofit
alliance.
Previously, Dr. Ibrahim was an SVP/Senior Managing
Director responsible for the Endowment, Foundation,
Healthcare, Taft-Hartley, Tribal Nations, Corporate
Pension, and Public Funds practice areas. She
worked with her teams on Investment Policy
development, asset allocation, and risk budgeting in
the management of institutional assets. Prior to
this, Jacquie was Senior Vice President, and group
head of the Institutional Asset Management group.
She was Chair of its Investment Policy Committee,
Chair of the Trust Investment Committee and Co-Chair
of the Domestic and Global Proxy Committee. Her
group was dedicated to serving the needs of
institutional investors through a team of portfolio
managers collectively responsible for $6 billion of
assets under management, $10 billion in Collective
Investment Funds, and $11 billion of assets under
advisement. Her previous senior management roles
included Community Bank Market President and Region
Manager of the Private Client group responsible for
Brokerage, Investment Management and Trust assets.
Jacquie has been featured in Plan Sponsor
magazine, DC News, and various
internal publications for her contributions to the
institutional marketplace. She is a featured speaker
at various economic symposiums and industry
conferences, and has served on an investment panel
for Channel 7 Television in the San Francisco Bay
Area.
Active in her community, Dr. Ibrahim is a Board
Member and Treasurer of the San Diego Women’s
Foundation, Board Member, CPA/Finance Committee
Member, and national diversity liaison for Girl
Scouts San Diego Imperial Council, Board Member and
Chair of the Investment Committee of the California
State University San Marcos Foundation, Editorial
Board Member and Ethics Committee Member of the
Investment Management Consultants Association,
Investment Committee Member of the Fulfillment Fund,
and graduate of LEAD San Diego. She is also a
volunteer corporate leader that teaches Junior
Achievement curriculum in the elementary and middle
schools and JA/AVID/CLASS curriculum for high school
students.
Dr. Ibrahim earned her bachelor’s degree from the
University of California, Berkeley, with honors. She
also earned her MBA in Global Management, as well as
her Doctorate in Management and Organizational
Leadership, summa cum laude.
